Ibiza Beach Guide

There are loads of wonderful beaches in Ibiza to explore. Many of which play host to decent beach bars and chill out cafes. Whilst some of these are located within the main resorts if you are staying in one of our holiday villas in Ibiza then it's also well worth hiring a car and exploring this surprisingly green and lush island to discover the finest stretches of sand. Here's a guide to our top five favourite beaches on Ibiza.

Benirrás

Haunt of the rich and famous Benirrás is located in the North of the island close to the attractive village of San Miguel. And is reached by a winding road that is fringed with pines and tall wild grasses. This has to be one of the most picturesque and well protected bays on the island and as a result scores of luxury yachts anchor up just off the coastline. The beach here shelves gently into the crystal clear waters and there are loads of on site amenities such as a couple of restaurants and sun loungers. Well worth the trip!

Cala Salada

Lying well of the beaten track on the north coast close to San Antonio Cala Salada is quite a small beach, measuring a few hundred metres. But is very popular with locals and in the know tourists thanks to the fact that it's not mobbed with holidymakers and plays host to an excellent beach bar and restaurant.

Las Salinas

Located at the southern end of the island Las Salinas is just a short drive from Ibiza Town and Playa den Bossa. And is a classic horseshoe shaped playa backed by pine clad hills. Making this one of the most attractive stretches of sand on the island. The beach measures about 1.5km - which is just as well as during the peak season this is one of the spots where the beautiful people like to see and be seen!

Cala Jondal

A great spot for lunch and people watching as Cala Jondal boasts a number of good quality beach bars and restuarants. As well as a pretty upmarket clientele to boot. Thanks to its location close to Ibiza Town and the stunning natural beauty here - with golden sands once again flanked by jagged pine clad cliffs. However the beach here is largely comprised of pebbles - making it imperative to bag a sun lounger if your want to enjoy a really relaxing day in the sun.

Cala Bassa

Located close to San Antonio and San Jose in the south of the island Cala Bassa is another beauty of a beach. Comprised of fine white sands that curve in an almost perfect C shape around a small bay of turquoise water. There's plenty do here for those who find it hard to just chill out and relax - with facilities on hand for a variety of water sports activities. This is quite a small beach though at around 300 metres do it does get busy during summer.
